JOIN THE VOLUNTEER CORPS TO GIVE HOPE TO 1000 AFRICAN CHILDREN THROUGH THE ROCHAS FOUNDATION SCHOOLS IN JOS, IBADAN, OWERRI, OGBOKO AND KANO!
You have a chance to help a less privileged child attend secondary or primary school comprehensively free.
Just look around your community, is there a child from a very very poor background who as a result is not in school yet?

FACE OF HOPE TV SHOW: We are coming on air! Yay!
We are proud to announce our
partnership with the FACE OF HOPE TV Series coming soon. FACE OF HOPE is a
Charity TV program that x-rays the humane part of society, rewarding helpers
while encouraging more participation to salvage Africa from poverty and
ignorance.
The Rochas Foundation Volunteer Corps (RFVC) is partnering with the FACE OF HOPE TV production crew to bring on activities of the Rochas Foundation
Schools to Nigerians and Africans at large on some of the episodes.

PROJECT #1: RFVCP/ B1 Donate
a Book (DoBook)
This
program is an educational book sourcing program geared at encouraging the
public and private sector to contribute to a child’s education by providing
books. These books will be channeled towards furnishing the Libraries and Media
centres of all the 6 Rochas Foundation schools as well as provide for other
less privileged children of school age in Oyo, Plateau, Kano, Imo and the FCT
in Nigeria.

Community
Impact Re-orientation Drive
1 EDUCATION
FOR ALL CHILDREN (EFAC) PROGRAM (RFVCP/ A1)
Project 1: FIND a Child (FIND) This is a
project aimed at getting children who deserve the Rochas Foundation education
scholarship and truly come from very disadvantaged backgrounds.
This
project will run for 6 weeks starting from March 2013 and will run concurrently
in the following states:
OYO
Kano
Plateau
Imo
There
will be a 1-week StreetFIND, 1 day Walk-for-Life and 4 weeks In-class grooming
for all scholarship prospects.
Volunteers
with passion for granting free comprehensive education to underprivileged
children have a chance to work their cause by participating in any of these categories:
Street
– FIND
Duration: 1 week
Volunteer responsibility:
-
Interface with all
Head of communities, Village heads, Local government chairmen, Security
personnel, media, sponsors etc

Participate in
finding less privileged children and admitting them
Sponsors

Plan and provide
transport for volunteers movement into the communities

Brand t-shirts for
all volunteers and sponsors

Provide refreshments
for all volunteers
FIND
WALK-FOR LIFE
Duration: 1 day
Responsibility:

Participate in the
walk

FRSC and security to accompany the walk

sharing the vision of the Rochas Foundation and the FIND project

Note: The number of volunteers for StreetFIND will be 15
per school location. 4 volunteer teachers will also be part of the In-class
grooming session for the selected children for the scholarship. The in-class
grooming program will teach basic language skills, reading skills, mathematics
and general studies. There will be weekly evaluation and a further background
assessment to verify their eligibility. After the 1 month grooming class, a
shortlist will be done based on set criteria and an informal admission list
will be released to the school for final scrutiny.
